Lost Cactus – The First Treasury, New Edition is a remarkably entertaining anthology featuring 172 full-color 3-panel and Sunday-format comic strips. Unlike your average syndicate-produced anthology languishing in the ever-shrinking bookstore Humor section, author and artist John Hopkins has created a coffee table art book that also features a curated selection of his paintings, sci-fi short stories, humorous essays, sketchbook pages, and liner notes in a beautifully formatted 164-page book, brimming with comic artistry and sharp-witted dialogue, with an X-Files meets M*A*S*H lampoonery of the modern world.
Reviews:

The four-color artwork and storytelling reminded this reader of Walt Kelly’s Pogo, engaging in laboratory satire poking fun at the bureaucratic money pit of certain government entities.”– Doré Ripley, Graphic Novel Reporter
