Weary of the lab rat lifestyle in Doc’s posh, clean, and humane laboratory, a perspicacious lab rat with a cone around his neck escapes his well-appointed miniature domicile and breaches the vaunted and off-limits Lost Cactus base warehouse. Gaping through the shadowy darkness of antiquities, artifacts, and wisdom well beyond humanity’s common knowledge and need-to-know, stacked stories into the rafters, he stumbles across a monstrous alien from the pantheons of sci-fi horror. The resourceful rat’s hair-raising evasion of the alien’s acidic drooling maw culminates with an accidental blast-off through the warehouse roof into space. The genetically enhanced rat’s brain shifts into overdrive on his predicament while pondering if this is just another test.
